Yampa Valley Sustainability Council Broke their Annual Recycling Record

YVSC LogoIn late September Blue Star Recyclers partnered with our good friends at Yampa Valley Sustainability Council to support their annual community recycling event in Steamboat Springs. This year YVSC broke all their record with 624 vehicles coming through to recycle several solid waste streams. 38,844 pounds of the total was unwanted electronics collected and recycled by Blue Star Recyclers.

Special thanks to the YVSC leadership team… Ms. Cameron Hawkins – Waste Diversion Director, and Sarah Jones – Executive Director, for putting on such a great event, for all the outstanding volunteers who helped us bring all that material in, and for putting out team of Dave Fry, Zach Bowen, Jackie Winger, Adam Landgraf, Loretto Hawkins, and Alec Anderson up for a few nights in Steamboat.
